“Summer’s End” Flash Fiction Contest-One Week Warning!

There’s just one week remaining in our “Summer’s End” flash fiction contest. The contest ends on August 31st, 2013.

Find more contest information here.

There will be three $10 Amazon.com gift cards awarded to three winning story writers. Winning also includes bragging rights and all the glory of coming in first.

Haven’t submitted yet? Get started here.

We’ve had some strong contenders so far, but that doesn’t mean an underdog can’t steal the lead at anytime. Procrastinators beware, the later you submit, the harder it will be to catch up with the early birds.

You don’t have to submit a story to participate. Vote for your favorite story here!

Good luck writers!

“Summer’s End” Flash Fiction Contest is Officially Open!

The wait is over for our next contest. We begin taking submissions for our “Summer’s End” flash fiction contest NOW.

As in previous contests, each contestant will be given a set of three random images to use as the premise for their story. You will be given one opportunity to exchange the first set of images for a second set. Be advised, there’s no going back once you’ve traded. The first set will be terminated and you must use the second set.

Once you’ve received your images you’re ready to write! Your entry must be an original story of 2,500 characters (about 500 words) or less, incorporating all three images. Find complete rules and instructions for entering here.

There are three $10 Amazon.com gift cards up for grabs this time around (not to mention all the glory of first place). Two winners will be determined by popular vote. One additional winner will be chosen by CCC judges based on overall writing quality, and how effectively they incorporate their set of images.

We host these contests for fun, and because it’s a great way for writers to get some work out to the public. Please take a look at our official flash fiction contest rules before you get started.

This contest closes on August 31, 2013. Get those creative juices flowing and get your story submitted in a hurry! The earlier you submit, the more time you have to collect votes.

What’re you waiting for? Good luck and get to it!
