Send your stories to workshops@ohiowriters.org by 11:59pm Wednesday night (10/19) to have it included in our peer review next week on Wednesday (10/26). Remember, you must be present to receive feedback, so please only submit work if you’re confident you can attend.

We will let all writers know whether or not their work has been included in the workshop as soon as we can. Stories will be posted to the CCC website here, so be sure to keep an eye out! You must log into your free account to access workshop materials. If you don’t have a free account, create one here.

This is also a reminder that we’ll be meeting at the Claddagh Irish Pub and Restaurant, located on 585 S Front St., Columbus, OH 43215. We will be reviewing Kirby Nielson’s novel at the same time and location as the short story workshop. You can check out Kirby’s novel here.

Submit to October’s Workshop Now!

Workshoppers,

This is your first call for submissions to October’s writers’ workshop, which will be held on 10/26/16 at 7 p.m.. We’ll be at the Claddagh Irish Pub and Restaurant, located at 585 S Front St., Columbus, OH 43215. Come join us at Claddagh in the Brewery District for awesome short stories, great drinks, and yummy food. Feel free to stop by early for food and drinks. You can find metered parking right out front and on nearby streets.

The deadline for submissions is next Wednesday (10/19/16), but you do not have to wait until the last minute! Make sure to check out our workshop guidelines and send your submission to workshops@ohiowriters.org.

All are welcome. You do NOT have to be a member to submit work, attend or participate. If your piece is chosen, be prepared for a professional, informative, and fun discussion surrounding your work.

This is also a reminder to novel workshoppers that Kirby Nielson’s novel is now available on the website, and you can download the novel here! It’s not too late to start reading, so check it out and meet us at Claddagh on 10/26. You must have a free membership to access the novel. If you don’t have one, create a free membership here.

October Novel Available

Novel Workshoppers,

The novel for our October workshop is officially on the website! We’ll be reviewing Kirby Nielson’s novel Girl on the Edge; you can find Kirby’s novel here. We will meet to discuss it on October 26th, so start reading now! You must have a free membership to access the novel. If you don’t have one, create a free membership here.

The novel workshop is an amazing resource fueled by member involvement, so if you want your own full novel workshopped, start attending workshops and giving your peers some feedback on their work. Make sure to check the website and follow us on our blog or on Facebook for the most up-to-date information.

We will be meeting at the Claddagh Irish pub and restaurant, located on 585 S Front St., Columbus, OH 43215. Come join us at Claddagh in the Brewery District for an awesome novel, great drinks, and yummy food. You can find metered parking right out front and on most of Front Street.

September Workshop Cancelled

Workshoppers,

September’s writers’ workshop will be cancelled due to a lack of demand. It’s a sad day, but there’s no need to fret. We will be back in October with both the short story workshop and the novel workshop.

The submission window for the short story workshop will be from 10/12 to 10/19, and it’s never to early to start getting ready! Also, we will upload October’s novel very soon, so novel workshoppers, keep your eyes peeled for that.

So, just to be clear, we WILL NOT be meeting on Wednesday 9/28.

We’ve got some news! Our next writers’ workshop is going to be at a new location! We’ll be at the Claddagh Irish Pub and Restaurant, located on 585 S Front St., Columbus, OH 43215. In other news, the novel workshop is taking this month off. But don’t worry we’ll be back and better than ever in October!

It’s the last Wednesday of the month, so you know what that means—August’s writers’ workshop is finally here.

If you’ve never come to one of our workshops before (or even if you have), this is a great month to start! Come join us this Wednesday (8/31) at the SALT MINES located at 2997 Indianola Ave, Columbus, OH 43202 in Clintonville. This applies to both the writers’ workshop and the novel workshop. Feel free to bring your own beverages or stop at Savor Growl right around the corner!

This is also a reminder to novel workshoppers that Nick Thomas’s novel is up on the website here! The first step to having your own novel workshopped is to attend the novel workshop and review your peers’ novels.
