Columbus Writers’ Co-Op Releases Second Anthology

Columbus, Ohio – September 15, 2011 – Following the tremendous success of their first anthology, Columbus Creative Cooperative, Central Ohio’s only writers’ cooperative, has released its second anthology, titled Overgrown: Tales of the Unexpected.

Overgrown features short stories written by eight Central Ohio authors, who have each worked diligently to develop professional caliber fiction. Featured authors include Josh Browning, Amy S. Dalrymple, Matthew Hance, Chad Jones, Ben Orlando, Brad Pauquette, Birney Reed and Kim Younkin.

The soft release began on September 8, 2011, and the book is now available at all Central Ohio Cup O’ Joe locations, as well as at a variety of other local retailers. The paperback is also available for purchase online at, and in a variety of e-book formats including Amazon Kindle and Barnes & Noble Nook.

The anthology’s editors, Amy S. Dalrymple, Ben Orlando, and Brad Pauquette, sifted through a wealth of submissions by authors across Ohio and the United States, to determine the most exceptional stories to be included in the book.

CCC’s first published work, Origins: An Anthology (released May 4, 2011), sold through its initial printing in less than 3 weeks, and has already sold more than double the group’s original expectations.

“We were testing the waters when we released Origins,” explained CCC director Brad Pauquette. “What we found is that the great readers of Central Ohio and local businesses were very supportive of the concept, and thoroughly enjoyed the book. It’s great to be able to provide an outlet for local writers, and draw attention to the fantastic talent we’ve got right here in Columbus.”

Overgrown, ISBN 978-0-9835205-1-1, is available at local retailers, and in an expanding variety of e-book formats. More information can be found on the Columbus Creative Cooperative website,

Overgrown: Tales of the Unexpected, which retails at $9.35, is suitable for most audiences, but intended for adult readers. A free release event, to be held on Friday, October 14, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at Kafe Kerouac at 2250 N. High Street, will feature readings from several local authors.
