Authors, Artists to Celebrate Anthology Release at Via Vecchia Winery on 9/19

Columbus, Ohio – September 4, 2012 – Columbus Creative Cooperative will hold a release event for The Bicentennial Columbus Anthology, titled Columbus: Past, Present and Future at Via Vecchia Winery in downtown Columbus, Ohio on September 19, 2012.

Columbus features short stories by twenty-three of Central Ohio’s best authors, as well as imagery from fifteen of Columbus’s visual artists and a foreword written by Columbus Mayor Michael Coleman. Every included story is set in Columbus, Ohio between 1812, the city’s founding, and 2212, a date 200 years in our future. The Columbus Historical Society and 200Columbus partnered with Columbus Creative Cooperative for this event, and a portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book will benefit the Columbus Historical Society.

The free, open-house style event will be held from 7:30 p.m. To 8:30 p.m., and feature music from Wes Black of Fever Fever, as well as readings from professional actors. Authors and artists with work included in the anthology will be available to sign books. Wine will be provided by Via Vecchia. This event is free, and the public is encouraged to join us for this celebration.

A silent auction of original copies of some of the artwork featured in the book will support the Columbus Historical Society, which has partnered with Columbus Creative Cooperative in the production of this book.

Books will be available for sale at the event at a special, discounted rate.

Upon release, the anthology will be available at a variety of retailers around Central Ohio, including all of the Cup O’ Joe locations, as well as online at Amazon.com, and as an e-book on all of the major markets.
