We’ve got a dazzling lineup for the upcoming Folk & Fiction event (3-5pm Sunday August 30th at Java Central Café in Westerville). Following are brief bios on the musicians and authors who are slated to perform.
Anthony Mossburg – Anthony has received significant local and national recognition. His self titled album broke the Top 10 Indie albums on iTunes and was named the Country Album of the Year in Ohio. Anthony recently won the Columbus Songwriters Association’s Year-End Showcase. He has opened up for many global acts and has been a featured artist on ReverbNation.
Kelly Vaughn – Kelly grew up in Sunbury and these days performs full time throughout Ohio. In August of 2014, she released an EP of original songs entitled Ordinary Girl “The Home Recordings” which has sold 500+ copies to date. Kelly has opened for national touring artists and was invited to be the opening performer for Mansfield’s Brickyard Stage Final Friday Concert Series.
Ed Davis – a former writing teacher at Sinclair Community College, Ed also taught fiction and poetry at the Antioch Writers’ Workshop. He is the author of several novels, most recently The Psalms of Israel Jones, published in 2014 by West Virginia University Press. In 2013, Ed also published Time of the Light, a full-length poetry collection. Ed has also contributed poems and short stories to many anthologies and journals.
Joseph Downing – Joe is a writer and attorney residing in Dayton, Ohio. He is the author of the non-fiction book The Abundant Bohemian (Boyle & Dalton, 2014), and was a contributing writer for Columbus Creative Cooperative’s anthology, Best of Ohio Short Stories: Volume I.
