We want to thank everyone who has supported last year's anthology. Below is a press release from our friends at the Ohio Audiobook Narrators. We encourage you to help spread the word.
MANY 5-STAR REVIEWS OF AUDIOBOOK BY OHIO AUTHORS & NARRATORS
“OUTCASTS: An Anthology”, an audiobook collection of short stories by Ohio-based authors and narrators, has received numerous 5-star reviews on Amazon and Goodreads, including the following:
“I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Loved the variety of the stories and the narration brought the characters to life. Amazing talent out of Ohio!” Goodreads Reviewer
“Outcasts is a fantastic collection of short stories. Each … was paired with a narrator who made the character's voice feel as if I was standing next to them.” Amazon reviewer
“Outcasts” is a collection of 18 short stories representing the work of 19 Ohio-based authors. It was published in late 2021 by the Ohio Writers Association (OWA).
Ohio Audiobook Narrators (OAN) collaborated with OWA to publish “Outcasts” as an audiobook. The audiobook is approximately 9 hours in length and features performances by six professional OAN narrators.
The book features tales of wizards, prisoners, robots, and other ‘outcasts’ whose stories tell of being isolated, different, and misunderstood. Normal is nice but being an outcast can be all-too-human.
Becky White of OAN said, “It just made sense to me that Ohio narrators should narrate a book by Ohio writers. When I pitched the idea to our group, the response was 100% ‘let’s do this!”
“Outcasts” is available in audio format on all major audiobook retail and library sites, including Overdrive, Libby, Audible, Apple Books, Chirp, and Barnes & Noble
Narrators and authors of “Outcasts” are available for speaking or other events. Please contact Becky White for information.
OAN and OWA have started work on their next collaboration: “Metamorphosis”.
The narrators of “Outcasts” have collectively recorded over 180 audiobooks, and their profiles can be found on ACX.com or on social media. OAN is always looking for new talent to join its group. Contact Becky White for details.
I’m so grateful to Becky White for her rendition of the Priest and the Robot. If you’ve heard it, let me know what you think!
